Hydrocycloon

Hydrocyclone is a filter that separates sand and contamination with a higher specific gravity from the fluid flow.

The hydrocyclone works on the basis of centrifugal forces. The water enters the hydrocyclone on the side. The water is thrown through the round shape of the house and goes down where the house is tapered. This causes the water to flow faster and the centrifugal forces increase. Once the bottom of the funnel arrived, the heavy parts fall down, are collected and the water flows through the center of the hydrocyclone back up into the water system. The hydrocyclone needs sufficient flow to achieve proper operation.

Hydrocyclones can be used in many applications: irrigation systems, groundwater applications, process water in which sand and soil constituents occur and for example in wastewater drainage.

The Hydrocyclone is available from 1.5" to 8", liquids to be processed from a minimum of 7.5 m³/h  up to 360 m³/h.
